Terms of Use
The terms that apply to atelierunion.com and the journal.
Effective October 7, 2026
These terms apply to atelierunion.com and to the Atelier Union journal and emails. By using the site or subscribing, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Atelier Union is operated by Tan and Glow Studios Inc., based in British Columbia, Canada. In these terms, "Atelier Union", "we" and "us" mean that business. You can reach us at hello@atelierunion.com or at [MAILING ADDRESS].
2. Who the site is for
Atelier Union is written for adults who work in or with the wedding industry. It is not a consumer wedding service.
3. Our content is general information
The journal shares experience, opinion and practical ideas about bridal retail, sales and customer service. It is general information. It is not legal, financial, employment or other professional advice, and it does not take the circumstances of your business into account.
We do not promise that using our ideas will produce any particular result. The decisions you make for your business are yours.
Guest contributors write from their own experience. Their views are their own and are not necessarily ours.
4. Ownership
The site and everything in the journal belong to us or to our contributors and licensors. This includes articles, issues, photographs, designs, and the Atelier Union name and AU monogram. They are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Except as section 5 allows, all rights are reserved.
5. What you may do with our content
You may:
- read the site and download issues for your own use;
- share a link to any page;
- print or share an article or issue with the people who work in your own business, for their training, as long as our name and any copyright notice stay on it;
- quote a short passage, with credit to Atelier Union and a link.
Without our written permission, you may not:
- republish, sell or license our content, or use it in training or materials that you charge for;
- remove our name, a contributor's name or a copyright notice;
- copy substantial parts of the site by automated means;
- use our content to train or develop an artificial intelligence system;
- use the Atelier Union name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
To ask for permission, write to hello@atelierunion.com.
6. Using the site
You agree not to:
- use the site to break the law;
- try to get around its security or disrupt it;
- collect other people's personal information from it;
- send us false, misleading or abusive messages;
- pretend to be someone else.
We may block access for anyone who breaks these terms.
7. The newsletter
Subscribing is free. We send issues of the journal and occasional emails about Atelier Union. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
8. What you send us
When you send us an enquiry, an idea, feedback or a pitch, you confirm that you are entitled to send it and that it is accurate. Please do not send confidential information unless we have agreed to receive it.
We may use feedback and suggestions about Atelier Union freely, without owing you anything.
We do not publish a contribution without the contributor's agreement. The terms on which we publish it are agreed separately in writing.
9. Links, partners and sponsors
The site links to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
When we mention a business, supplier or professional, we are not guaranteeing their work. We label content that a sponsor or advertiser has paid for.
10. Availability
We try to keep the site available and accurate. We may change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time, and it may contain errors.
11. No warranties
To the extent the law allows, we provide the site and its content as they are, without any promise, express or implied, that they are accurate, complete, suitable for your purpose or always available.
12. Limit on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business or data, that arises from your use of the site or your reliance on its content.
Our total liability to you for all claims connected with the site is limited to CA$[100].
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability, or any right you have, that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you, including consumer protection law.
13. If you break these terms
If we suffer a loss, or face a claim from someone else, because you broke these terms or misused our content, you agree to compensate us for that loss, including our reasonable legal costs.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
15. Paid services
The site is free to use. If we introduce paid memberships, training or other paid services, separate terms will apply to them, and we will show you those terms before you buy.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If a change is significant, we will tell subscribers by email. If you keep using the site after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
17. General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term, we have not given it up. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
18. Contact
Send questions about these terms to hello@atelierunion.com.
